Welcome to the blog that looks to help give a voice to middle-class families struggling with the idea that a debt free lifestyle is attainable. For far too long, the voices of those of us who have bought into the "American Dream" haven't been heard because we have found ourselves knee deep and sinking quickly in debt. Unfortunately, this debt will be passed down to our children and grandchildren if we don't stop the cycle today. My goal is to help open up the discussion amongst those of us who are looking to live a debt free life now and for the future of our posterity.
A debt free lifestyle is easier to attain than you may think. It doesn't matter how much money you make or how in debt you are today. Once you acknowledge the trouble areas and learn how the only bills you'll pay are utilities you can live debt free. No mortgage, no credit cards, and no car payments!
The above statement is of course our goal, not our starting point. If you've stumbled across this blog looking for a get rich quick scheme or quick fix to your years of financial neglect. Please look for one of the other "personal finance" blogs. However, if you’ve come looking to roll up your sleeves and get out of your mess, let's get ready to get dirty. Because I truly believe that we can recover. We may just need a bit of encouragement and accountability to each other.
